New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Long-Term Temporary (LTT) Customer Service Representative to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced call center environment.
Major Responsibilities:
Answer in-bound calls and actively listen to customers concerns.Strive for first call resolution by efficiently addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues and providing accurate solutions.Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in the system.Follow company policies and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality service.Meet performance metrics, including call handling time and customer satisfaction scores.Provide information about products and services.Cross-sell and upsell service contracts to customers.Coordinate with field representatives to ensure needs of customers are being met.Operate in a team environment with customer satisfaction as the goal.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.At least 3 years recent customer service experience in a fast-paced call center/customer service environment is strongly preferredComplete accelerated training and be able to pass several tests within the training periodAble to sit for extended periods of time taking calls on a headset, communicating with customers, and entering information into the computer system.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive with a high-level of initiative and be creative problem solvers.Candidates should be adaptable; comfortable with learning and mastering new technologiesComfortable with cross-selling and up-selling products to customersAvailable to attend training for the first several weeks which take place Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Upon completion of training, be available to work any shifts between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10 PM Monday through Friday AND 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM Saturday Sunday.
This is a long-term, temporary opportunity expected to last approximately 18 to 24 months.

Other Details:
Compensation: The base pay for this role is $35.03/hour.
This role will be eligible to participate in a union annual short term incentive program.
