Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative in our Ontario, CA location. The position works under limited direction & general supervision represents the customer service department in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr.+Yearly annual increaseCompetitive Benefit Package; 401K; Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
Roles & Responsibilities:
Data entry of informationRespond to customer queries and complaints and overall customer relationsCollect, disseminate and manage data and reports for various customers and/or brokersInteract with buyers, warehouse, transportation and our customers regarding products, orders, and inbound appointmentsScan Delivery documents and work closely with the billing department regarding invoicingOther duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree

Minimum requirements: Must be able to pass an extensive government background check and finger printing

Experience: Twelve (12) months verifiable experience in a customer service or administrative role

Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, type 45 WPM, 10 Key proficiency of 8000 kph

Ability to critically think through multiple step process and follow-upHandle multiple priorities without losing detailsAbility to work under time pressuresExcellent time management skillsAccustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCapable of diffusing customer complaints in a professional manner

Adept at leading others in a positive and productive manner, while building a cohesive team environment which supports the mission and vision statement of the company. Ideal candidate must have experience in identifying, analyzing, solving and preventing problems, be capable of communicating effectively with others both orally and through the written word and proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting oral and written information.
