A Customer Service Representative II job is available with the City of Fort Worth Code Compliance Department. This position will focus on assisting the shelter's animal fostering program as well as providing exceptional customer service to people coming to the shelter. Our Animal Care and Control department has hundreds of dedicated volunteers and fosters who help the staff and animals with various tasks. Our foster program has grown in size in the last year and we are seeking an individual who can help us continue to strengthen and expand our foster program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Two (2) years responsible customer service experience within the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing strong relationships within the community to foster a positive image such that companies and individuals will make the Fort Worth Animal Shelter, Neighborhood Initiatives and Improvements, and Consumer Health programs the volunteer programs of choice.
- Experience in animal control, animal shelter settings and animal handling
- Experience organizing and implementing special events.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including Publisher, Marketing, and Social Media skills.
The Customer Service Representative II job responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, coordinating, training and retaining fosters.
- Ensure that the fosters have a rewarding and positive experience as well as the tools and information needed to perform the job they volunteered for.
- Develop and update the foster manual and training materials.
- Manage and ensure foster contacts are updated.
- Provide support to foster families in times of difficult situations.
- Keep foster families updated on program policies and protocols.
- Keep up with health, vaccinations and behavior of animals in foster and update system.
Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.
Physical Demand
Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
